Workshops

October 25-28, 2008 - San Diego, CA

Workshops are leadership breakout sessions. To make it easier for participants to choose workshops that will best serve their individual leadership needs, NCSL has created four programming tracks. All of the conference workshops will fit within these four tracks. Click on the icon next to each workshop to learn more about that track.

3C-Squared: The Multiplying Effect of Leadership

When we speak of leadership, we often think of people who have made a name for themselves or become successful in their area of interest. Yet many leaders wonder why they are still feeling empty even after they have received all the titles, accolades, and monies that powerful successful leadership is supposed to bring. We will explore leadership from the perspective of being a "Servant Leader" and the three areas that help us to obtain our goals while also helping others achieve theirs. We will examine change, cost, and control to see how they help us to move an organization to making a difference that last a lifetime. If you are ready to study and develop the skills to be a PROVEN leader, this workshop is for you.
