Release the handcuffs and let your wings fly. Marlon shares his vision of living with unlimited possibilities to inspire you to tap into your true potential.

Dance Floor Theory
Tom Krieglstein

Like being on a dance floor, every college student experiences varying levels of engagement, from those fully involved (student leaders), to those lurking on the edge (apathetic students). The same tactics to create successful social change on a dance floor (connections, relevancy, models of success, and motivation) also work to increase engagement within any college. Dance Floor Theory provides student leaders and advisors a new model for creating community, increasing student engagement, and fostering a culture of retention.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Discover a framework for understanding apathy and engagement

  2. Identify examples of activities to increase engagement

  3. Apply tools for increasing group retention

This session reveals methods for creating a mission-driven student organization and rallying people toward tangible changes. Discuss how, as a Change-Maker(tm), you will build trust-based relationships, inspire people to buy into the vision, turn doubters into believers, and win key victories that will change the direction of your organization.

Money Management for Leaders
Peter Bielagus

Money management problems are now the number one reason for college dropout.  And if your own finances aren't in order, your organization's finances won't be in order either.  Let financial advisor turned educator Peter Bielagus take you on a hilarious tour of the money maze.  Using humor and real life examples, Peter will show you how to increase your credit score, find the "hidden" money in your life and in your organization, how to protect yourself from identity theft, and how to save money without having it hurt.  Learn why so many budgets, be they personal or organizational, don't work and what you can do about it.  Discover new money habits that will strengthen both your organization's finances and your own.  Peter will share his own inspiring personal story of digging his way out of $5000 of credit card debt to a life of abundance.  Remember, if you are worried about your money, you cannot be an effective leader.
